PM Scholarship Scheme Benefits 2024-25
Each year, the PM’s Scholarship selects 5500 ex-servicemen’s dependents. The scholarships are split equally among boys and girls. They last from one to five years, based on the course length. Boys receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 2500, up from Rs 2000. Girls receive Rs 3000 per month, up from Rs 2250. State police children also get a monthly scholarship of Rs 500.
PM Scholarship 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the PM Scholarship 2024-25, you need a minimum of 60% marks in 12th grade for undergraduate courses, and the same percentage in graduation for postgraduate courses. Eligible applicants include dependents of martyrs and ex-servicemen from the Indian military, paramilitary forces, and state and union territory police forces. This also includes those affected by Naxalism or terrorist attacks.

- Go to the National Scholarship Portal at
sholarships.gov.in. - Click on “New Registration” on the main page.
- Check the “Undertaking” box and hit “Continue”.
- Confirm your mobile and Aadhaar numbers.
- Fill in the form that pops up and press “Register”.
- Note down your registration number for future use.
How to apply for the PM Scholarship 2024-25 ?
- Visit the National Scholarship Portal website.
- Click “New Application” on the main page.
- On the login page, enter your registration number, password, and captcha. Click “Login”. Verify with the OTP sent to your mobile. Your first password is your birthdate (DD-MM-YYYY).
- Next, you will be asked to create a new password. Do that and submit.
- The PM Scholarship application form for 2024 will open. Fill it out carefully. Make sure to select your category in “Basic Profession” at the end of the form. Click “Save and Continue”.
- Select “Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme” under “Scheme”. Upload all required documents, write your address, and click “Final Submit”.
