The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced the Punjab State Teachers Eligibility Test (PSTET). Applications are open from 19th to 26th December 2023. The test has two papers: Paper I for teaching classes I-V, and Paper II for classes VI-VIII. Check the PSTET Notification for eligibility and more details. PSTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
For Paper 1 (for teaching classes I-V), you need to have passed 12th grade with at least 50% marks and be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). You can also have a 4-year degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or a 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
For Paper II (for teaching classes VI-VIII), you need a Bachelor’s degree and be in the final year of a 2-year D.El.Ed, or B.Ed, or 4-year B.El.Ed, or 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
The minimum age to apply is 18 years. There’s no maximum age limit for the PSTET exam. The cut-off date for checking these criteria is 01 January 2024.
