Job openings for Sub Inspector and Constable in the Railway Protection Force may be announced in early 2024. Interested candidates can apply on their official website once the announcement is made. The Railway Protection Force did not announced the number of Sub Inspector and Constable jobs. But, it is expected to be over 10,000. RPF Eligibility Criteria 2024
To apply for jobs in the Railway Protection Force, you need certain qualifications and age.
For Sub Inspector (SI) jobs, you need a Bachelor’s degree. For Constable jobs, you need to have passed 10th grade.
For SI jobs, you need to be between 20 and 25 years old. For Constable jobs, you need to be between 18 and 25 years old.
If you are from OBC, SC/ST, or OBC categories, you can be up to 10 years older than the age limit.
RPF Application Fee 2024
To apply for Constable or Sub Inspector jobs in the Railway Protection Force, you need to pay a ₹500 fee. You can pay with a debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI. If you’re from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Extremely Backward Class, or a woman, you only need to pay ₹200.
Selection Process for RPF 2024
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): This is a 90-minute test with 120 multiple-choice questions on General Awareness, Arithmetic, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. Each question is worth one point, but you lose third of a point for each wrong answer.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- For Constables:
- 1600 meters run: Men should complete it in 5 min 45 sec, and women in 3 min 40 sec.
- Long Jump: Men should jump 14 feet, and women 9 feet.
- High Jump: Men should jump 4 feet, and women 3 feet.
- For Sub-Inspectors:
- 1600 meters run: Men should complete it in 6 min 30 sec, and women in 4 min.
- Long Jump: Men should jump 12 feet, and women 9 feet.
- High Jump: Men should jump 3 feet 9 inches, and women 3 feet.
- For Constables:
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
- Height: For UR/OBC, it’s 165 cm, for SC/ST, it’s 160 cm, and for specified categories, it’s 163 cm.
- Chest (Only for male): For UR/OBC, it’s 80 cm (with a minimum expansion of 85 cm), and for SC/ST, it’s 76.2 cm (with a minimum expansion of 81.2 cm).
