RPSC RAS Vacancies 2024
The RPSC hasn’t officially announced the number of positions for the 2024-25 RAS exam yet, but it’s expected to be around 1000. For comparison, there were 905 openings last year, with 424 for State Services and 481 for Subordinate posts.
RPSC RAS Eligibility Criteria 2024
- Education: You need a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. It can be in any field like Science, Commerce, or Arts.
- Age: You should be between 18 and 40 years old. If you from the OBC category, you get 3 extra years, and if from the SC/ST category, you get 5 extra years.
RPSC RAS Selection Process 2024
- Prelims: It’s a 3-hour offline test with 200 objective questions. Each correct answer gets you 1 mark, but you lose 1/3rd of a mark for wrong answers. The questions are in English and Hindi and cover General Knowledge & Science.
- Mains: This is also an offline test, but the questions are descriptive/analytical. There are four papers, each lasting 3 hours and worth 200 marks. The papers cover different topics in General Studies and Hindi/English.
- Interview: This is a face-to-face chat where you’re judged on your performance. It’s worth 100 marks.
Only those who pass the Prelims will go to the Mains, and only the top performers in the Mains will get to the Interview. The final selection is based on your scores in the Mains and Interview.
