SSC JE 2024 Exam Date 

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will soon announce the exam date for the Junior Engineer post. The exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) and is expected to be held in June or July 2024. The test will last for 120 minutes. Waiting for the SSC officially announces the date.

SSC JE 2024 Eligibility

To apply for the Junior Engineer job, you need a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized institution. Your age should be between 18 and 30 or 32 years, depending on the job requirements. More details about qualifications and age limits for different streams will be in the upcoming SSC notification.

SSC JE 2024 Selection Process

The Junior Engineer recruitment process involves two stages: Paper I and Paper II.

In Paper I, you be tested on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering. It has 200 questions, each worth one mark, and lasts for 2 hours. Be careful, as each wrong answer will cost you a quarter of a mark.

Paper II is also a 2-hour exam but focuses solely on General Engineering. It has 100 questions, each worth three marks. Here, each wrong answer will cost you one mark.

If you pass Paper I, be invited to take Paper II. The final selection is based on your performance in both exams

  3. Find and click on “JE” or “Junior Engineer.”
  4. Choose “Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2024.”
  5. Fill out the form with your basic and educational information.
  6. Upload your photo and signature, pay the fee, and submit your application.

When applying for the Junior Engineer post pay a ₹100 application fee. If you from a Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Economically Weaker Section, or if you a woman, you don’t need to pay this fee.
