TNPSC Group 2 Notification 2024
Those interested in Group II and IIA jobs can apply online at the TNPSC website from May 2024 until June 2024. The exact date for the Group 2 & 2A Exam 2024-25 announcement is not confirmed, but it’s expected in the first week of May 2024. The application period will be for a month.

TNPSC Group 2 Eligibility Criteria 2024
To apply for the Group 2 and 2A Exam 2024, you need a Bachelor’s degree and your age should be between certain limits. The exact age requirements will be in the advertisement.
TNPSC Group 2 Application Fee 2024
For the TNPSC Group 2 and 2A Services 2024, you need to pay ₹150 for registration, ₹100 for prelims, and ₹150 for mains. You can pay with a debit or credit card, NET banking, or UPI before the deadline.
TNPSC Group 2 Exam Date 2024
The TNPSC hasn’t announced the date for the Group 2 and 2A Services Exam 2024 yet. The prelims will be a 3-hour offline test in August 2024 with 200 multiple-choice questions, each worth 1.5 marks.
TNPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern 2024
The TNPSC Group 2 and 2A 2024 exams have two parts: Prelims and Mains.
Prelims:
- It’s a 3-hour offline test.
- It has sections on General Tamil/English, General Studies, and an Aptitude and Mental Ability Test.
- There are 200 questions, each worth 1.5 marks. No marks are deducted for wrong answers.
- The total marks are 300.
- The exam is in both English and Tamil.
Mains:
- It’s also an offline test.
- Paper-I lasts 1 hour 30 minutes, and Paper-II lasts 3 hours.
- Paper-I tests Tamil to English translation, English to Tamil translation, precis writing, comprehension, hints development, general essay writing, official letter writing, and knowledge of the Tamil language.
- Paper II is a degree-standard General Studies paper.
- Paper I is worth 100 marks (qualifying), and Paper II is worth 300 marks.
- The exam is in both English and Tamil (for Paper II).
