RRB Group D Recruitment Requirements 2024
To apply for RRB Group D jobs, you need to have:
- Passed 10th grade from a known board, or
- Have an ITI certificate approved by NCVT/SCVT, or
- Have a similar certificate.
The age limit for applying is 18 to 33 years. But, there’s some age relaxation for reserved categories:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years extra, so max age is 36 years.
- SC/ST – 5 years extra, so max age is 38 years.

RRB Group D Recruitment Application Fee 2024
General and OBC candidates need to pay ₹500 as application fee. ₹400 of this will be given back after they take the Computer Based Test (CBT).
For SC, ST, EWS, Women, Ex-Servicemen, and PwBD candidates, the fee is only ₹250. This full amount will be given back after they take the CBT.
RRB Group D Recruitment Selection Process 2024
The RRB Group D 2024 hiring process checks if candidates are fit for the job.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): This is the first step. It’s a multiple-choice test with questions on science, math, reasoning, and current affairs.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): If you pass the CBT, you’ll take the PET.
- Document Verification: If you pass the PET, you’ll need to show your original documents like education certificates, age proof, and category certificate.
- Medical Examination: After your documents are checked, you’ll have a medical test. The medical requirements depend on the job. You need to be physically and medically fit for the job.
