NDA 2024 Notification PDF
The UPSC put out a detailed notice about the NDA 1 2024 Exam on 20th December 2023. You can find this on their official website www.upsc.gov.in. It has important details like how many positions are open, what qualifications you need, how old you have to be, and how they pick who gets in.
According to the notice, there are 370 positions at the National Defence Academy and another 30 at the Naval Academy. You can download the notice from the UPSC website.
Eligibility Criteria for NDA 1 2024
Before you apply, make sure you meet the requirements for the UPSC NDA 1 2024 exam.
Education
- For the Army part of the NDA, you need to have finished 12th grade.
- For the Air Force and Naval parts of the NDA, or the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Naval Academy, you also need to have finished 12th grade (or something similar). But you also need to have studied Physics and Mathematics.
Age
- To get into the NDA, you need to be a single man or woman born between 2 July 2005 and 1 July 2008. You have to be in this age range to be considered.
Application Fee
- If you are from the Gen, OBC, or EWS categories, you need to pay ₹100.
- If you are from the SC, ST categories, or if you’re the son of a JCO, OR, or if you are a woman, you don’t need to pay anything.
- You can pay online or in cash.
NDA Selection Process 2024
- Written Exam: First, you take a written test to see if you know enough and are a good fit for the NDA.
- SSB Interview: If you pass the test, you have an interview with the SSB. They check if you have the qualities and skills to be an officer.
- Medical Check: If you pass the interview, you have a medical check to make sure you’re healthy enough.

- Go to the UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
- Find the link for the NDA I Exam 2024 on the homepage.
- Click the link and you’ll go to a new page where you need to register.
- After you register, log in, fill out the form, and pay the fee.
- After you pay, click submit and download the page.
- Print a copy of the page for your records.
